    It works!

    This was much better than expected! It works great! However, my friend said that when I connect my microphone jack, from my headset into the device, I am a little quiet when speaking. I had to connect the mic jack into my front analog port, and afterwards, I sounded normal. However, when it comes to my headphones from my headset, I connect that head jack into the device and it sounds great!

    No, it's not worth $2

    The headphone jack on my computer shorted out, and I bought this hoping it would be a cheap fix, and if not I was only out $2. Well, this has proven to be worse than my lowest expectations. Very loud white noise/static is heard constantly and unit will turn off inexplicably. Physically, it's plastic case came separated when I was removing it from the USB slot. This is the cheapest of the cheap electronics and has no use as I see it. I would return it, but return shipping is more than the unit. I know the price is tempting, but you are just throwing the money away with this thing.

    Great little device. Makes android tv box better

    I use mine to connect my android tv box to my surround sound system. I first used used a A/V jack but the HDMI port takes over the A/V once connected. So the external sound card was my best option

    Works flawlessly with W10 and W7

    Bought this for my work laptop since my mic jack seems to have died. Tried it out for a while to listen to music and to record my voice. Seems to work just fine for what I need so far. I don't know how long it will last and will updated my review if it breaks in the near future. I'll get a chance to use it soon for hangout meetings in the coming weeks, so hopefully it holds up for me.

    sound wise a great value, but mechanically iffy.....

    outer blue covers came off during gentle install into USB port. A couple dabs of super glue (or a wrap of tape) fixes that. Sound is great considering the price. an easy way to get sound on a PC that need it.
